Hackney Wick is a sub-district of Hackney and is in the London Borough of Hackney and London Borough of Tower Hamlets, London, England. It is situated 5.6 miles (9 km) northeast of Charing Cross.
To the south is Old Ford, to the north is Homerton and to the west is Stratford. Hackney Central, the historic centre of Hackney, lies to the west.
Hackney Wick is in the far east of the borough, at the southern tip of Hackney Marshes, and includes part of 2012 Olympic Park, west of the River Lea in the Lower Lea Valley, where it abuts Waltham Forest and Newham. West of the River Lea, the Lee Navigation, here called Hackney Cut, meets the Hertford Union Canal.
