The famous San Francisco Hot Club and the famous French singer Isabelle Fontaine have created "Meet Me in Paris", a charming concert inviting an unforgettable Parisian experience.
Love songs and gypsy jazz are a combination made famous in the 20s and 30s in Paris by the legendary Hot Club of France, Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli. After the First World War, the city became a gathering place for artists from around the world and the unique sound of gypsy jazz from the Hot Club reflects this collection of inter-war cultures. Keep time with rhythmic rhythm guitars and let guitar solos and magic violin take you on a walk on the Seine and in the heart of the city. Ms. Fontaine's blend of sweet and sensual songs adds a touch of beauty and authenticity that echoes the historic City of Light, "The City of Light".
The San Francisco Hot Club is a group of accomplished and versatile musicians who celebrate the music of the French Hot Club by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli with style and panache. The HCSF borrows instrumentation from the original Hot Club's violin, bass and guitars while breathing new life into the music with innovative arrangements of classical melodies and original compositions by the superb guitarist Paul Mehling. With the incredible violin of Evan Price, twice awarded at the Grammy Awards, and a swinging rhythm section, with the French singer Isabelle Fontaine.
To listen to the whole live, or on one of their 11 albums, we must go back to the 1930s and smoky jazz clubs of Paris and the refined salons of the famous Hotel Ritz. Often referred to as gypsy jazz, San Francisco Hot Club music has seduced audiences from around the world for more than 20 years. Acoustic Guitar has described the group's game as "complex, hot and often brilliant".
