Art-X is a composer, keyboardist, and also melodica player since the age of 16.
He founded with his brother the band Ondubground in 2004. After the release of 15 albums and EPs, and many collaborations with for example Biga Ranx and Brother Culture, Art-X decided in 2014 to create his solo project, with the release of his first album dedicated to his favorite instrument.
Titled “Toy Story”, the album is composed of 11 tracks through 9 collaborations : Ondubground, Roots Raid, Dawa Hifi, Panda Dub, Manu Digital, Hatman, Frequency Lab, Miniman and Brain Damage.
In August 2014, Art-X came back with his second album “Cook & Curry”. This release is inspired by reggae-roots classics. Thus, it takes us on a journey through the history of reggae music, supplemented by the specific touch of Art-X and his Melodica.
In 2015 he joined the beatmaker Atili Bandalero and release "Melodica Circuit" then Art-X make himself an album tribute to Augustus Pablo called "Spiritual Father".
All the albums are available in free download on the net-label www.odgprod.com.
On stage, Art-X offers a live duo mix melodica from dub roots to dub stepper.
