Hailing from Perth in Australia, and now residing in South London, Kito & Reija Lee are a musical duo with many achievements under their girl power belt. Beginning their careers as solo artists, the girls saw success originally releasing music via Skream’s Disfigured Dubz, and Diplo’s Mad Decent, with whom they are still closely affiliated with today. In the past we have seen their track ‘Sweet Talk’ used on the Victorias’ Secret Spring/Summer 2013 commercial and on Trinidad James’ Island Def Jam hit ‘Female$ Welcomed’, along with a remix that saw Juicy J rapping over it. Recently, Big Boi’s #MashUpMondays series featured the girls’ Mad Decent release ‘Run For Cover’, and was titled ‘King Sh!t’. This saw the OutKast member rhyming with T.I. and Ludacris over a Kito & Reija Lee track, something that while un-expected, served as an incredible co-sign from one of music’s heavy weights.

Kito & Reija Lee have known each other since the age of thirteen. The pair came from different musical backgrounds; however, they found a mutual love in electronic music, with Reija Lee bringing herself away from years of singing in rock and metal bands, and Kito adding a vocalist to a steadily rising solo career as a producer and DJ. As a pair, Kito and Reija Lee are unique, releasing music that speaks volumes in creative license; standing out from the crowd.

With influences ranging far and wide from Kate Bush, M83 and Drake to MIA and J Dilla, the girl’s catalogue of sound is extensive. Using their varying backgrounds they have been creating phenomenal music that has taken the online world by storm; featuring on the likes of Hypetrak, Wonderland, Hunger, Noisey, Thump, Vibe, In The Mix, XXL and more. Radio support has been strong, with plays from Skream, B-Traits, Annie Mac, Mista Jam and full playlisting on Triple J in Australia.

The girls are moving into bigger territory, with the recent release of their EP ‘II’ on Payday/Ultra Records (Sony) which was premiered on Hypetrak. Having already released the sensational ‘Starting Line’, ‘Word$’ ft. Zebra Katz and their low-end reinterpretation of Cassie’s ‘Me & U’ the girls have well and truly made their mark as a duo.
