Freak of Nature is the second studio album by American recording artist Anastacia, released in Europe and the United Kingdom on November 26, 2001, and later in the United States and Australia on June 18, 2002. It was primarily produced by Ric Wake with occasional production from Sam Watters, Louis Biancaniello, and Richie Jones. The album debuted and peaked at number twenty-seven on the US Billboard 200, while it reached number four in the United Kingdom and number one in Belgium, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland. For the US and Australian edition of the album, three tracks were remixed and a new track, "I Thought I Told You That", was recorded. A collector's edition of the album was released on November 4, 2002, in Europe, featuring a bonus disc containing "I Thought I Told You That", as it only appeared on the American & Australian versions of the standard album, a recording of classic "Someday My Prince Will Come", plus three remixes and two live recordings. The collector's edition was released in America & Australia in February 2003, and the bonus disc contained a similar tracklisting, however, included "Boom", a single released by Anastacia for the 2002 FIFA World Cup, instead of "I Thought I Told You That", as it appeared on the standard version of the album, and also included an extra track, "Love Is a Crime", a single released by Anastacia for the soundtrack to the film Chicago. Some editions of the album are not playable on Windows or Mac.
