La Roux is the eponymous debut album by English electropop duo La Roux. Released in the United Kingdom on 29 June 2009 by Polydor Records, the album includes the hit singles "In for the Kill" and "Bulletproof", which peaked at numbers two and one on the UK Singles Chart, respectively. The album debuted at number two on the UK Albums Chart on sales of 62,650 copies, becoming the highest first-week sales for a debut album in 2009 for the UK, until Florence and the Machine released their debut album Lungs, which sold 63,020 copies. It was certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry on 12 February 2010, having sold 350,000 copies in the UK so far.
The album was nominated for the 2009 Mercury Prize, and won Best Electronic/Dance Album at the 53rd Grammy Awards on 13 February 2011. A ten-track Gold Edition of the album was released digitally in the United States on 8 February 2011, including the Kanye West-featured version of "In for the Kill".
