Enrique Iglesias is the self-titled debut album from pop singer Enrique Iglesias, released on November 21, 1995 (see 1995 in music). The album was a big success and topped Latin charts and was also recorded in Portuguese and Italian. It also won the Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album at the Grammy Awards of 1996.
The album received a Gold certification in Portugal after a weeks of sales, and has sold more than 8 million copies worldwide. In the United States it was certified gold on June 11, 1996 and platinum on November 18, 1996,
Five singles from this album hit the number-one spot in the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks chart: "Si Tú Te Vas", "Religious Experience", "Por Amarte", "Do not Cry For Me" and "Trapeze", The Most for any Latin album together Selena and beating Jon Secada with four chart toppers.
The track "Inventame" was re-recorded in 1999 by his writer Marco Antonio Solís and was included on the album Trozos de Mi Alma. This version peaked at number 36 in the Hot Latin Tracks chart.
