Is there any solution for that issue?

Yeh its in progress. I want to make sure all the functions add this data going forward, so its a little more work than just running a database script.

OK albums now have an extra column for strAlbumStripped

It removes these characters from the album name:

Code: Select all

! . @  , # $ % ^ & * ( )  _  - +  \  [ ] { } ; : " < > |

I'll build a new API method now to search using it.

To search for a stripped album name only:

Code: Select all

http://www.theaudiodb.com/api/v1/json/{APIKEY}/searchalbum.php?as={Album name}

Notice the "as" variable to pass instead of "a"

Or you can do an artist and album search

Code: Select all

http://www.theaudiodb.com/api/v1/json/{APIKEY}/searchalbum.php?ss={Artist name}&as={Album name}

Example:
http://www.theaudiodb.com/api/v1/json/1 ... 2019882003

This still fails for me:

Code: Select all

http://www.theaudiodb.com/api/v1/json/{APIkey}/searchalbum.php?ss=REM&as=In%20Time%20The%20best%20of%20REM

I'm guessing because it's incomplete.

However, this also fails:

Code: Select all

http://www.theaudiodb.com/api/v1/json/{APIkey}/searchalbum.php?ss=REM&as=In%20Time%20The%20best%20of%20REM%2019882003

If I remove the "ss=REM" it works.

Took a while, but I finally got round to it.

Both should work now as the strArtistStripped field has been implemented.

I can confirm the fix works, I implemented the code changes as part of the next Zoom Player release.
