The next album, “Le petit peuple du bitume”, released in 2007, is once more against the current. A concept close to those of the 1970s, album composed as a single title of 55 minutes. Majestic atmospheres and endless solos. Sure, Daran was raised to the Pink Floyd and other groups of that period when nothing was pre-formatted. The texts include Pierre-Yves Lebert, Christophe Miossec and Didier Balducci. A year after the release of the album, new "Daran Awards" are organized.

In the summer of 2008, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Francofolies de Spa, a white card is proposed to Daran. On stage Pierre Rapsat, in front of 10,000 people, he invited among others MC Solaar, Stanislas, Maurane, Steeve Estatof, comedian Kad Merad, and Calogero.

On June 1st 2011, Kad Merad's first film, “Monsieur Papa”, was released in France, whose original soundtrack was composed by Daran. For the first time, it is the occasion to sing texts in English, written by his old traveling companion Pierre-Yves Lebert.
