Thulcandra is a black / death metal band from Munich, Germany formed in 2003, with members from Helfahrt , Nebelmythen and Obscura.
They have released four full-length studio albums. Their latest album A Dying Wish was released in 2021 through Napalm Records to overwhelming reviews.
The band's style is described as melodic black metal and inspired by bands such as Dissection, Sacramentum, and Unanimated.

The name of the band is taken from a 1989 demo of the Norwegian act Darkthrone, coming from the 1938 science fiction novel Out of the Silent Planet by C. S. Lewis, where Thulcandra is the name for the silent planet, Earth.
