Rah Rah loves to build songs and stories. Hailing from the Regina, Saskatchewan, they have been known to consume excessive amounts of sugar. Going Steady, their first full-length album, was released in 2008 on Young Soul Records and has received generous support from Canadian college and CBC radio. Rah Rah has shared the stage with the likes of DD/MM/YYYY, Library Voices, Holy Fuck, Elliott Brood, Wintersleep, Mother Mother, Malajube, Rural Alberta Advantage, Hot Springs, Sunparlour Players, Sylvie and Lovely Feathers to name a few. They have played the Regina Folk Festival, Pop Montreal, and NXNE. In 2009 Rah Rah did 3 Canadian tours and recorded and new album in Montreal with Kees Dekker. 2010 will see Rah Rah tour a bunch, release the aforementioned album and then tour some more. The band currently consists of Erin Passmore (Vocals/Drums/Keys/Guitar) Marshall Burns (Vocals/Guitar/Bass) Joel Passmore (Vocals/Bass) Kristina Hedlund (Vocals/Violin/Accordian/Keys) Jeffrey Romanyk (Drums/Keys/Guitar/Vocals) Leif Thorseth (Guitar/Vocals) Dan Crozier (Guitar) Rah Rah Press: "Very accomplished despite their youth, Rah Rah plays immense, poetic rock tunes..." -Montreal Gazette "There's no doubt that Rah Rah are Canadian. Their beyond catchy but blunt rock songs were dressed with keyboards and violins, and in a very Weakerthans-esque manner they brought their awkward sing-along inducing live performance to a crowded audience at the Boat that couldn't help but clap along! It leads me to believe in the near future we'll be hearing a lot more from these prairie dwellers." - Exclaim "Going Steady's a realistic, vivid lament on the frustrations of young love" - NOW
