Chastity met Joey and Brian through friends from Guitar Center in Hollywood. It turned out they were graduates from Musician’s Institute and Chastity was about to attend. We thought what a small world. We instantly became friends. Joey and Brian played in a band called Thunk and Brian also played in a band with JJ and Hos called ERB. Joey, JJ, Brian and Hos all played in ERB at one point but Joey later pursued his different direction. Brian being friends with Chastity introduced her to JJ and Hos and they became friends. ERB ended and so did Chastity’s band Subliminal Bliss where she only played a full drum kit. Chastity, JJ and Hos with no current project looked to each other and decided to form a band called Nag Champa in 2004. JJ’s brother was on drums and the band was a musical circus. Hip Hop, rock, polka (almost..tehe) you name it. His brother went on to pursue a hip hop career and that’s when OUTLETT later formed. Our brother Dave came into the picture as he was in another great band playing drums on the scene. The band knew he was the one for us. OUTLETT built massive momentum and as things became more demanding we knew we had to broaden the sound and take things to the next level. We said bye to our amazing friend Dave and that’s when the additions of Joey and Brian happened last year. Crazy right!? From the beginning starting together, exploring then coming right back together. The chemistry was complete once we played together. We knew this was the band we were all waiting for.
