"Ouroboros" is a technical / death / thrash band based from Sydney, Australia that formed in 2001 originally under the name "Dred". In 2009 they changed their name from Dred to Ouroboros and were nominated for five awards in the first ever Australian Metal Awards. Ouroboros took home three awards including Best Unsigned Band, Best Bassist and Best Drummer.
In 2011 guitarist Mikhail Okrugin left the band for personal reasons, 2012 saw the void left by Mikhail's departeure filled by Barry Feeney, In June 2013 Barry left the band to move back to his hometown and focus on his other band, Psynonemous. The band decided to continue as a 4 piece .
