Artist Biography
Disfear is a Swedish D-beat band that formed in the early 1990s. They have only recorded sporadically over the years. After releasing the albums Soul Scars in 1995 and Everyday Slaughter in 1997, the group did not release an album until 2003 with a 12 track album, Misanthropic Generation, featuring vocalist Tomas Lindberg of At the Gates and The Great Deceiver fame and Uffe Cederlund of Entombed fame. They recently finished working with Converge's Kurt Ballou for their new album, Live the Storm. It was confirmed on 30 March 2011 that bassist Henke Frykman had lost his battle against cancer. The band had issued a statement: "It is with heavy hearts we inform you that on Friday the 25th of March Henrik Frykman died in his home after a long battle with cancer. Henrik will be greatly missed by family and friends."
