Mimicry is a Swedish punk / rock bands including Hjalle and Heavy (Hjalmar Östman and Jonas Stentäpp), made famous by the TV program " On the Run ". Mimikry also became very famous after a gig in Ludvika . Hjalle is a singer and has also been the guitarist in the band, Heavy plays drums , Mia Mästerbo plays bass , Johan Asberg plays guitar and Anders Brandström play guitar. In 2005 the band celebrated its tenth anniversary and released a compilation album by the band called for a "Collector Heat". The record consisted of songs from 1994 onwards that were previously only released on demo discs and other compilations. In 2006 the band released a DVD containing a live performance from Rock for Moc and a documentary about the band's history.
Mimikry do about 50 gigs each year. The band produces their records themselves, and take the help of their fans by posting and promotions to their releases and DVD releases. Mimikrys fanclub Mimikrew was formed in 2011 and as a member you can take part in different competitions and receive other benefits. 2008, their new album Alder Country out. This has Chips Kiesbye produced and the sound is much more mature.
Hjalle Östman is also the lead singer of Twisted Brother , together with, among others Jonas "Heavy" Stentäpp who plays drums. Jonas is also guitarist in Dökött and drummer of Toxic Lab Rats . In addition to its role in Mimikry is Mia Mästerbo also the lead singer of the band Sheena & the Punk Rockers and bassist Loading bay 14 , Astarte and Hylandz Orchestra . Further plays Anders "Monkey" Anderson guitar also in bands Montezuma and Astarte.
In late 2010, announces Anders "Monkey" Anderson that he stops playing guitar in Mimikry. In January 2011, it is revealed that it is Anders Brandström taking over the guitar. Fire Power has previously played in Mimikry when not monkey or Asberg have been able to play.
