Shield was a hardcore band from Umeå, Sweden, formed in 1993. The bands record debut was with the Song "Outside" on the compilation record Straight Edge as Fuck I in 1994. Then under the name Solitude. The band later changed their name to Shield, because there already existed other music acts with the name Solitude.
