Artist Biography
Available in: gb icon
In 2008, House Vs Hurricane exploded onto the Australian heavy music scene in a way that almost no other band has matched before or since. Their debut EP "Forfeiture" made the band the talk of every fan in the scene, and before long their key-driven hardcore influenced sound had them selling out rooms that bands further in their careers are still striving for. The release of their debut album "Perspectives" furthered the bands reputation as they participated in the Boys Of Summer and No Sleep Til touring festivals, and took their sound throughout the European and the UK touring circuits. However, the "Perspectives" touring cycle wore the band down, and in 2011 they decided on some major changes which would affect their band moving forward. They removed keyboards from their sound, and replaced front man Christopher Dicker with long time friend and peer Dan Casey. They signed on with indie powerhouse UNFD (The Amity Affliction, The Getaway Plan) in 2012 and have been picked up by Edwin Tehrani at New World Artists for Booking. Now, HvH, as their fans often refer to them as, have finished recording their second album "Crooked Teeth" and are gearing up for it's release this Winter. Behind Casey's energy and enthusiasm, they have delivered one of the albums of the year, brimming with attitude and ideas, and full of the kind of high octane hooks to set the heavy music world on fire. "Crooked Teeth" is the first House Vs Hurricane album to be released via UNFD, and was recorded by Machine (Every Time I Die, Lamb Of God) in New Jersey in March / April this year. Throughout recording the band started making a series of videos to connect fans to the experience. Episodes 1-3 are currently online, with the remaining 3 episodes due out over the coming month. "Crooked Teeth" will be released on July 13th with it's lead single "Blood Knuckles" out via iTunes on June 8th.
