Album Description
Available in:
To mark their 15th anniversary, and signal a two year hiatus, Gates of Dalhalla is a hugely long (over two-hours) live document filmed in an open-air venue built in an old quarry in Sweden, released on DVD/blu-ray and CD.
The band made sure as much as possible went into the show to make it a fittingly grandiose production, from the choice of venue, with it's imposing roof, moat (yes, really) and unique setting, to retrieving their old flaming shield logo from storage. The setlist covered their whole career, touching upon every album they've released, and although it was slightly weighted in favour of the most recent albums, previous live album/DVD One Crimson Night adequately covers the period up to 2002's Crimson Thunder, so this way more songs which don't have a live version available could be played.
